‘We need to be very careful and cautious’: Most likely case of monkeypox detected in NSW

NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard has suggested residents to be on alert for monkeypox, which arrived in Australia through a world traveller.

It’s the primary time the virus has been detected in Australia.

The case is a possible one, with assessments being carried out presently to verify the virus throughout the abroad traveller, as indicated by the state’s well being minister.

“It isn’t a cause for major concern amongst the broader community, but it’s something that we need to be aware of in our community because we believe that we’re likely to have our first case,” Mr Hazzard mentioned throughout a media convention on Friday.
