Tornado Blows Out Garage Doors at Public Works Facility in Norwalk, Iowa

A tornado ripped through the Public Works building in Norwalk, Iowa, on Saturday, March 5, as cyclones swept across central Iowa. Security camera footage from Saturday shows the moment intense winds from the tornado tore off the building’s doors and whipped debris through the facility. The City of Norwalk said no injuries were reported but multiple area homes and buildings were damaged. On Monday, the city issued a disaster declaration to aid cleanup and recovery efforts. The National Weather Service said at least three storm systems produced multiple tornados across central Iowa on Saturday.
