State leaders lash PM over mandatory vaccine remarks

Scott Morrison has been accused of pandering to “extremists” with Labor leaders critical of the prime minister’s reluctance in condemning anti-vaccination protesters.

Mr Morrison has tapped into frustrations over the handling of the coronavirus, calling on state leaders to relax vaccination mandates on citizens.

Speaking to Nine’s Today Show, Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews said: “I’m committed to doing what has to be done and not about chasing through doublespeak the votes of extremists or their preferences”.
