Patrick Vieira seen kicking Everton fan throughout pitch invasion following Crystal Palace defeat



The flashpoint comes two days after Sheffield United striker Billy Sharp was headbutted by a pitch invader after Nottingham Forest’s Championship play-off win. 

Robert Biggs, a 30-year-old Forest season-ticket holder was sentenced to 24 weeks imprisonment and given a 10-year Football Banning Order after pleading responsible to assault occasioning precise bodily hurt at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court.

Speaking after the Everton match in regards to the Vieira incident and the broader subject of followers invading the pitch, Sky Sports pundit Dion Dublin stated: “Having fans on the pitch is not the way forward, we have to stop letting fans on the pitch. You can’t have players in fear of their lives if players are on the pitch. For any players or member of staff on the pitch, it’s a scary place to be.”
