A man decided to play a slot machine at a Washington casino after his girlfriend urged him.

Then Jose Lopez won the jackpot at the Tulalip Resort Casino on March 20, according to a news release from the casino.

He won $2,369,748.95.

His win beat the casino’s jackpot record — and he had the largest known win for a slot machine in the state’s history, the news release said.

The casino said its last slot machine jackpot record-holder won $1,101,976.12.

Lopez is a painter from Lynnwood, a city about 16 miles north of Seattle.

He was playing the Golden Charms slot machine game when he landed the jackpot, the news release says.

But this isn’t his first win.

Lopez also won $20,000 on a slot machine at the same casino in the past, according to the news release.

He usually plays Triple Fortune and Buffalo Gold.
