Man arrested after police officer attacked with machete



“All the years I’ve known him, he’s never done anything like this, he’s never been in trouble with the police, he’s always been a straight shooter,” the suspect’s cousin stated.

“I’ve known him all his life, he’s not got a bad bone in his body. He’s always gone to school, he’s got a good education,” he added.

Police negotiators are believed to have spoken with the household on Sunday afternoon.

Condition ‘not life-threatening’
