Hazardous powder in Best Buy warehouse harms GA employees

More than 20 workers have been uncovered to a hazardous substance at a Best Buy distribution heart in Georgia, media retailers reported.

At least one particular person was hospitalized and the opposite employees complained of irritation to their eyes, noses and throats, WSBTV reported.

Firefighters obtained a 911 name at 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, May 2 a few hazardous materials at a Best Buy warehouse in Dublin, WMGT reported. When first responders arrived, the employees have been already leaving the constructing.

A Laurens County hazmat workforce helped firefighters decontaminate the location and emergency medical service responders examined the workers, WGXA reported.

“As soon as we learned of the issue, we immediately evacuated the facility and contacted local authorities,” Best Buy informed WMAZ in a press release.
