Girl transforms lavatory tiles with paint and a stencil for simply £35

When Paloma moved into her Norbury flat final November, she knew she wished to provide the toilet a refresh.

However, with a restricted funds she determined to remodel her lavatory tiles with only a senticil, paint and little creativity.

The 31-year-old tells Metro.co.uk: ‘I had a transparent goal to seek out the best lavatory arrange after I began in search of homes.

‘However, since I didn’t have an enormous funds, I may neither discover a home with the right lavatory nor afford an enormous renovation on an current one. 

‘After discovering my splendid house, I knew I used to be going to attempt to flip some issues round, so I did plenty of analysis on renovate the toilet myself by way of “quick fixes.”

‘I loved the patterned tiles in the new-builds I visited, and they are now all over the interior decoration magazines and Pinterest, so I came across videos of people painting over their tiles and transforming them into the patterned ones I liked so I had to try it myself.’

As her tiles already had a black base that she appreciated, Paloma simply wanted to purchase white paint, the kind of stencil she wished and tile sealer.

Then she set to work prepping the ground – which concerned cleansing it with sugar cleaning soap.

After, simply merely put the stencil on the tile (ensuring it was the identical dimension because the tile), secured it with masking tape so it didn’t transfer, and used a brush and minimal paint to fill within the stencil.

‘Repeat the process along all the tiles, make sure you leave space between them, so the paint has time to dry, and once it is all finished just add the tile sealer,’ she explains.
