‘Cruel irony’: Ski resort dealing with opening delay after two-year rebuild

Selwyn Ski Resort General Manager Lucy Blyton says it’s a “cruel irony” how her venue is dealing with unprecedented ranges of snow after being “wiped out” after bushfires.

Early blizzard has delayed the re-opening of Selwyn Snow Resort affecting the venue’s electrical switchboards and waste water system.

Ms Blyton mentioned it was a devastating name to delay reopening the ski resort, particularly after rebuilding the venue after pure catastrophe.

“Our resort was wiped out by bushfire, and now we can’t open because of too much snow,” she informed Sky News Australia.

“The cruel irony of it all.”
