At least eight killed in New York grocery store assault

At least eight individuals have been killed in a capturing at a grocery store in Buffalo, New York.

Police stated the alleged shooter was in custody after opening hearth on customers at a Tops Market. 

The division stated in a assertion on Twitter: “BPD on scene of a mass capturing on the Tops within the 1200 block of Jefferson Avenue.

“Multiple people have been struck by gunfire. The shooter is in custody. Motorists and residents are urged to avoid the area.”

Gov. Kathy Hochul tweeted that she was “closely monitoring the shooting at a grocery store in Buffalo,” her hometown. 

She stated state officers have provided assist to native authorities.

The Erie County Sheriff’s Office stated on social media that it ordered all accessible personnel to help Buffalo police.
