Arsenal salvage first-leg draw against Wolfsburg in Women’s Champions League quarter-finals

Wolfsburg will be frustrated not to have held onto their lead, having struck the woodwork twice within one attack in the second half, but other than that lapse Arsenal proved tough to break down, too, and this looks like a tie which may well end up going the distance or being settled by just a single goal.

But the first leg’s drama belonged to a Gooner, with Eidevall delighted for Wubben-Moy, adding: “It is a very good finish, of course it is a very special moment being a childhood fan, being at the Emirates and scoring an important goal like that. We’re all very happy for the goal as a team but also for her as an individual and understand that’s a special moment. Sometimes in football you experience bad times and great times like that; special and we’re really happy for her.”
