16-year-old shot, killed whereas hog searching with household: TX cops

A 16-year-old boy died after getting shot as wild hogs charged him and different relations on a searching journey, a Texas sheriff’s workplace mentioned.

Dylan Seymour was searching along with his mom and 19-year-old brother on the night time of May 7 close to Trent, west of Abilene, based on a report from the Fisher County Sheriff’s Office.

The household was searching on the mom’s boyfriend’s property when hogs “charged at them.” They started operating as gunfire erupted, the report mentioned.

As the hogs scattered, Dylan mentioned, “Stop, stop, I got shot.”

Seymour’s mom advised investigators that the 16-year-old was nonetheless taking pictures till he realized he’d been shot within the again, the report mentioned.

“I’m not exactly how he got hit, if we ran in to each other or what,” the mom advised Deputy Joshua Benavides, based on the report. “It all just happened so fast. The last hog was still charging but ran by us as we were checking out D-Ray’s injury.”
